About the Roundtable:

The February Roundtable will focus on ways to promote yourself and your value, and the inadvertent behaviors that may be detrimental to getting your best foot forward.   Hear from other members about how they have conquered self-doubt – and from other members who may still be challenged by doing just that.  Self-promotion is an art, and this is a chance to get ideas and use other members of WBL as a sounding board.

“Imposter Syndrome” is a common phenomenon among high –achieving women. Defined as the feeling of being a fraud among those who “earned it” or “deserve to be here,” imposter syndrome lives among the “fine line between self-deprecation and self-destruction.”

Do you find yourself crediting your achievements to luck rather than to your talent and hard work?  Research has even found that rather than working harder to prove abilities, many women become trapped in a cycle where they spend so much time thinking about how others perceive them that they overlook their own success and continue to underrate their value.  At WBL, we hear this in conversations the most often during discussions about serving as CEO or as a member of the board.

How do other members of WBL promote themselves, gain visibility for their talents, and do so while avoiding getting caught in the web of imposter syndrome?  How can you thrive and be sure recognize your own value, and make sure others recognize it too?

About WBL Roundtables:

Unsure about the Roundtable format? WBL Roundtables provide real-time, informative discussions and relationship-building with other members that takes place in a virtual medium, giving you a chance to interact with other WBL members outside of in-person events. Calls will be limited to 20 participants who are Full WBL Members.  This call is ACTIVE AND PARTICIPATORY and is NOT a webinar.  It’s not just for listening while you multi-task!  Show up ready to talk, share ideas, and learn new things.
